the Lord who has the hard of living beings in the temple Aruḷtuṟai in Veṇṇainallūr on the southern bank of the river peṇṇai which flows filled with bamboos!
I, who am as low as the dog.
without thinking of you in my mind for many days during my early age.
I have received your grace which is very difficult to get.
having become a slave to you who came to bestow on me your grace.
is it proper on my part to argue now that I am not your slave?

Me a low down cur for days on end, dis-remembering your Grace,
strayed as vain ghost fouling your will;
yet secured the Sublime Grace served upon me,
even me, undeservedly!
O, Lord, shepherding kindly, abiding in Arutturai of Vennainalloor
south of Pennai banks of bamboo-heath!
Me, time old slave of yours, how can I otherwise disown
no slave am I, none of yours?
