The hero speaks:
Like the rod cast in the eastern sea
That teems with conch and shell
Fitting into the yoke afloat on the western main,
The carp-eyed one,
removed from her bevy
at Kailas
Is brought forth to the Ancient One`s Tillai;
I hail my Lord who wrought this wonder.
Will I ever hail or hymn any other God?
Translation: T. N. Ramachandran,Thanjaavoor ,1995
6. Hailing the ‘god-send’
From Chank-rich ocean in East, a line
To West leads and links the pricked one
Of the main there; so the hoary one of Tillai
Moved the kayilai divine dame to escort the carp-eyed woman
As the fruit of deeds good. Never would I hail or wow
Any alien other than His Grace
Translation: S.A. Sankaranarayanan, (2009)
