ఛారలుగల తుమ్మెదలు రాగయుక్తముగ పాడుకొనుచు అన్నిదిక్కులకూ వెడలి విస్తరించియున్న
తిరునెల్వేలియందు వెలసి అనుగ్రహించుచున్న కరుణాసంపదైన ఆ పరమేశ్వరుడు,
శంఖములతో చేయబడిన మాలలు కట్టబడిన నడుము గలవాడు.
అలలతో కూడిన గంగానదిని భరించిన జటాజూటముగల నాయకుడు.
ఆతనిని గౌరవించని దక్షుని యాగమును నాశనమొనరించిన సామర్థ్యపరాక్రమములు గలవాడు.
ఎర్రటి వర్ణముతో సూర్యునివలే ప్రకాశించు జఠలుగలవాడు. ఆతనిని కొలిచి తరించండి.
