యక్షులు, కిన్నరులు, యముడు, వరుణుడు,అగ్ని, వాయు దేవుడు, సూర్య చంద్రులు, దానవు లందరు, దివ్యులు, అష్ట వసువులు, సర్పాలు , కోతులు, పులులు, మాయ
మర్మాలెరుగక, క్షణం కూడా నిన్ను మరవక, అపారంగా నీ కృపను పొందిన వారందరు నీ నామ జపం జేస్తూ నీ పాదాల చెంత పుష్పాల నుంచి పూజించడానికి వచ్చారు.
కలవర పడ కుండా నేను నీ పాదాలను ఆశ్రయించాను. సమ్మతించు దేవా!

රකුසු‚ කින්නර‚ යම‚ වරුණ
අග්නි‚ වායු ‚ හිරු‚ සඳු
වියරුනොවූ දිවි‚ වානර‚ නා
වසු‚ සුර මේ සියල්ලන්
නොපැකිල සමිඳුන් සිරි පතුල නමැද
ලද අසිරිය අසා‚ සොයා ආවෙමි

क्वसपाण्डियन ने श्रमणों को फाँसी लगा दी। ज्ञानसबंधार ने उन्हें रोकने का प्रयत्न नहीं किया।
स नावुक्करसर पहले श्रमण धार्म को अपनाकर शैवधार्म की निन्दा करते रहे।
स नाळै पोवार ने तिल्लै नगर के भीतर व मन्दिर के भीतर प्रविष्ट करने का प्रयत्न किया।
स मूर्ख नायनार द्यूत खेले।
स साकिक्य नायनार ने शिव मूर्ति पर पत्थर उठाकर फेेंके।
सकण्णप्प नायनार ने अपनी पादुका को शिव मूर्ति पर रख दिया; मूर्ति पर जूठन उगली और जूठे मांस को नैवेद्य के रूप में समर्पित किया।
सकणम्पुल्लर ने मन्दिर के प्रांगण में अपनी केशराशि को दीप समझकर जला दिया।
इससे नीलकंठ बन गये।
नीलकंठ प्रभु!

yamaṉ the god of death
varuṇaṉ the Lord of all kinds of water
the god of fire and the god of air which is always moving
the sun, the moon
all the tāṉavar acurar, celestials, vacukkaḷ they are eight in number, serpents, monkeys and tiger which were without mental delusion
without forgetting you even for a moment
having come to know the abundant grace they received from you, by worshipping your holy feet with flowers uttering your names.
I reached your holy feet without being perplexed
