శంఖు చక్రాలు గలిగిన కేశవుని సగ భాగంగా చేసి కొన్న,
వృషభ వాహనుడైన శివునిది ఆధ్యాత్మిక స్వేచ్ఛావతారం.
మదపు టేనుగు చర్మాన్ని మన \'పెళ్ళి కొడుకు శివుడు\' కప్పు కొంటాడు.
కేదీశ్వరం లోని దయా స్వరూపు లైన భక్తులు చేతులు జోడించి పూజించే,
ఎముకల నలంకరించుకొనే, శివుడు పాలావి చెరువు గట్టున ఉన్న కేదీశ్వరం లో వసిస్తున్నాడు.

රිසි භූත සෙන් පිරිවැරූ ඥානවන්තයා,
වසු වාහන මත සැරිසරන්නා, මදැතුගෙ ඔද බිඳ සම ගලවා,
හැඳ සිටිනා මනාලයා, බැතියෙන් සවුවන් නමදින,
පාලාවි වෙරළබඩ මළවුනගෙ ඇටකටු ද පළඳිනා
කේදීච්චරයාණනි!

(सुन्दरर् ने रामेश्वरम् के दर्शनोपरान्त वहीं से सिंहल के (ईल के) प्रसिध्द स्थान तिरुक्केदीच्चरम् पर यह दशक गाया।)
सब के प्रिय भूत-गणों से सुशोभित,
ज्ञान के साकार स्वरूप, वृषभ वाहनवाले,
मत्ता गज के चर्मधाारी, युगल रूप में दिखाई पड़नेवाले,
मृत लोगों की अस्थि धाारण करनेवाले,
शिव! भक्तों के वन्दनीय हैं।
वे तिरुक्केदीच्चरम् में पालावी नदी तट पर प्रतिष्ठित हैं।
